Pastoral Council – Strategic Plan Objectives
Objective 1
To celebrate God’s unlimited love for us through active participation in Holy Eucharistic, Sacraments, and in prayer.
- Emphasize the reverence and sacredness of all liturgical celebrations.
- Encourage all parishioners to promote and support the liturgy and reverent worship.
- Support and foster the celebration of all Sacraments.
- Support liturgical ministries, including youth, music and family and children’s ministries.
- Plan and assist in prayer opportunities
Objective 2
To be a parish community that is welcoming, hospitable, safe and inclusive. - Continue and enhance our ministry of hospitality to all parishioners, new members and visitors.
- Provide accommodations for people with special needs.
- Communicate information to parishioners about parish life opportunities.
- Provide social events.
- Provide child care services to allow parishioners to more fully participate in parish activities.
Objective 3
To educate ourselves and others in the ways of our Roman Catholic faith. - Promote effective adult education.
- Equip parents and guardians with the necessary tools to fulfill their baptismal responsibility to share their faith with their children.
- Continue to support faith formation of our youth.
- Encourage family faith formation among people of all ages.
- Support and encourage the RCIA program.
Objective 4
To actively embrace our Baptismal call of being "Church," sharing time, talent, and resources. - Foster active participation in lay ministries and parish activities.
- Encourage responsibility and commitment to financially support the parish building and grounds.
- Embrace the spirituality of tithing which is the offering of a percentage of one’s time, talent and treasure to the Lord for blessings received.
Objective 5
To put our faith into action through apostolic works and social outreach. - Support our community and parish outreach programs.
- Be receptive to new opportunities to put faith into action.
- Enhance and expand our youth ministry programs involving young people.
- Bear witness to Christ to others by living our Baptismal calling.
- Share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
Objective 6
To develop lay leadership and nurture priestly and other religious vocations. - Recruit, train, and commission liturgical ministers and lay leaders.
- Nurture among liturgical ministers a sense of sacredness and respect for liturgical celebrations.
- Pray for, recognize, encourage and develop the call to Priesthood and religious vocations present among us.
