2009-2010 Adult Lecture Series This year's theme of Prayer and Spirituality is inspired by Bishop Zubik's first pastoral letter, The Church Alive! In his meditation on the Church of Pittsburgh, Bishop Zubik repeatedly calls us back to the foundations of Christian life: prayer and the desire to be more like Jesus Christ.
The lectures run from 7:30 - 9:00 PM in the auditorium of St. Paul Seminary, 2900 Noblestown Road in Crafton. Participants may request catechetical and clergy continuing education credit.

Dwight Longenecker is an American who has spent most of his life living and working in England. Though he was ordained an Anglican priest, Fr. Dwight and his family were received into the Catholic Church in 1995. He spent the next ten years working as a freelance Catholic writer, contributing to over twenty-five magazines, papers and journals in Great Britain, Ireland, and the United States. An author of ten books and regular contributor to First Things, This Rock, and National Catholic Register, he was ordained as a Catholic priest for the Diocese of Charleston in December 2006 under the special pastoral provision for married former Anglican clergy.

Responding to the Call to Holiness with the Wisdom of the Saints Ralph Martin Thursday, April 15, 2010 Ralph Martin is the Director of Graduate Theology Programs in Evangelization and an assistant professor of theology at Sacred Heart Major Seminary in the Archdiocese of Detroit. He is also president of Renewal Ministries (www.renewalministries.net), an organization devoted to Catholic renewal and evangelization. Renewal Ministries is the sponsor of “The Choices We Face,” a widely viewed weekly Catholic television and radio program distributed throughout the world, and engages in a wide variety of mission work in more than 27 countries. The author of a number of books, the most recent being The Fulfillment of All Desire: A Guidebook for the Journey to God Based on the Wisdom of the Saints, he resides with wife, Anne, in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Our group meets at St. Richard Church in Gibsonia on Monday evenings from 7:00-8:45 PM. We are a DivorceCare group and, during our 13 week program cycle, we will explore all aspects of divorce and will help you to begin the process of healing. The DivorceCare program is based on solid Christian teachings and Biblical principles and incorporates the knowledge and experience of experts in this area. And, most importantly, participants are brought together through the love of Christ to support one another through these difficult times.

Young Adult Ministry SS John & Paul Parish is eager to support the development of Young Adult Ministry to meet the special needs of singles and married people ages 18 to 40. Many of our current programs, such as our Outreach programs, Parent/Family Programs, and Adult Faith Formation programs will be of interest to young adults. At this time we are also looking for Young Adult Catholics who are interested in working with other local parishes to form a Young Adults Singles ministry that might feature Bible Studies, Social Events, and Senior Connection work teams for singles only.
