Senior Connection works on the maintenance of Lawrenceville senior homes in cooperation with Our Lady of the Angels Parish. The work enables seniors to remain in their homes. In addition, Senior Connection volunteers regularly work at Habitat for Humanity sites, the Angel’s Place, Genesis House, and Catholic Charities referral sites.
As a Senior Connection volunteer, you may: repair sidewalks, floors, ceilings, walls, windows, doors, railings, and light fixtures; fix leaky faucets; paint railings, siding, rooms, hallways; and do yard work for seniors in need.
Our workdays begin with Mass at 7:30 AM in the Grotto Chapel and end at 4:00 PM.
In order to volunteer, you must turn in the Senior Connection Release and Waiver Form. Volunteers under 18 must also have a parent or guardian’s signature on the form. Click the button below to fill out this form and sign up!

In our 5 workdays in 2016, we worked at 46 sites, with 180 volunteers working 1438 hours.
This was a year when we shifted our focus away from assisting agency sites and took on some very difficult projects.
During this time our efforts allowed two homeowners to have citations withdrawn and fines waived. In October the crew worked until 8:30 pm at the Sheridan site to insure that the house was ready for winter.
Another homeowner’s plastered walls—exposing outside brick—were re-framed & insulated, and drywall was installed to seal off the room once again.
